More Glendale

It was so fun for us to drive around Glendale and have our parents share their childhood homes, churches, schools, & memories!!
My Great-Grandparents move here just as the town was being built & he actually built this home!

My parents Junior High

Their High School

I think this was the house my dad was born in.

I lived in this house for the first two years of my life with my parents and older brother, Travis!!

This is the house that my dad grew up in. We have heard lots of stories of this fun house! It was beautiful in its day. My dad asked my mom out on their first date here and they also had their wedding reception here! The lady who lives there now was kind enough to let us invade for about an hour while my dad showed us all around. It was such a cool experience to hear my dad talk about his youth! This room was my grandpa's office & my grandpa was sitting in this corner when my dad came in one day & they started talking about the church (my grandpa was not a member). My dad asked him why he had never joined the church and his reply was that he was just waiting for my dad to ask him. He was baptized shortly after that by my dad!

This was my dad's bedroom! He had lots of fun stories to tell & he told us later that day that this day was one of the best of his life to share all his memories and stories about his life with us. I know the feeling was mutual!!
My parents had there picture taken here in front of this staircase the day they were married, so we recreated it with their six kids behind them 38 years later!
My parents recreating how it all began. There was a group of kids over swimming in my dad's pool and my mom was about to jump off the diving board, when my dad, from the side, asked her if she wanted to go out! The rest is history!!

After a day of touring we decided to unwind with some food and shopping at the Glendale Mall. It was a beautiful shopping center, but Rylee thought she was the most beautiful thing there! She spent about 10 minutes admiring herself in the mirror! If only we could all love ourselves that much!
