Peters Family Christmas Eve Dinner! Once again my Mom and Dad outdid themselves with putting together our family Christmas program. We decided to have it at their church this year to better accomodate our every growing family! It worked out perfectly other than the car loads of stuff they had to bring over to set up the beautiful nativity room, & beautifully decorated tables & halls! I think they brought everything put their Christmas Tree!! Mom organized a wonderful program where the adults told the nativity story to the kids. Each character stood at shared their story and then bore their testimony, and Kim added her's through two beautiful songs. We then moved into the cultural hall for dinner and the talent show!!
So for the last several years we have had a talent show for the little kids to show off their talents, and then a couple years ago we shook things up a bit. Our wonderful mother made the comment that she was sad her kids had no talent of their own to share (it really wasn't said quite like that, but that is what we all heard!) So we put our heads together and decided to show her just how much talent her 6 wonderful kids really have!! We shocked our parents with a beautiful rendition of Jingle Bells with Travis & Treavor on the piano & the girls each playing an instrument of their choice (wooden spoons, pan lids, bells, & xylophone). We even threw in a few dance moves! To say the least it was the highlight of the talent show.
This year, after several suttle hints from mom, we decided to once again wow everyone with our amazing talents! Our thinking caps went on & we came up with a perfect song for us (well Telisa really came up with the idea). First of all if you have never seen "White Christmas" stop reading this and go watch it right now!!
We grew up watching this movie every year, and have always loved the song "Sisters", and knew that this would be perfect for us. It is sung in the movie by two sisters, so we had to improvise a little bit to fit 4 sisters. Also in the movie two men perform this same song after the sisters, and really make fools of themselves. We thought we could talk our brothers into doing the same and really bring house down, but apparently they still have a little dignity left! I'm glad some of us still do!!
We found some great dresses at DI & had a few dress rehearsals to work on our choreography & then we were ready for our debut! The following pictures don't give our performance justice, but it gives you an idea of what we are willing to do to make our mom happy!! (If any of the spouses got this on film, I would love to see it!)

I love it! I can't believe we didn't get someone to record our debacle! We looked ridiculous! It was hilarious though!
